Albert BichotFounded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot in Monthélie, la maison Albert Bichot has prospered through the generations, consolidating its footprint in the Burgundian wine world. The ancestral heritage, beginning in 1214 with the first traces of the Bichot family, is anchored in Châteauneuf-en-Auxois and symbolised by the hind of the coat of arms. Under the leadership of Albert Bichot I, the family business established itself in Beaune in 1912, marking the beginning of an era of international influence. The entrepreneurial dynamism continues with Albert Bichot II, a pioneer in the world wine trade. From the second half of the twentieth century, his four sons embarked on the expansion of la maison, modernizing infrastructure and conquering new markets. Albéric Bichot, representing the new generation, embodies the vision for the future. Under his leadership since 1996, la maison is committed to sustainable viticultural practices, notably switching to organic farming in the 2000s. It expands the wine-growing heritage of la maison, supports regional culture and promotes the values of ecology and biodiversity. As a committed partner of the Tara Ocean Foundation, la maison Albert Bichot participates in marine research missions. Sensitive to the preservation of the environment, she is involved in the protection of the climats of Burgundy, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. On the cultural side, la maison supports literature, music and les arts, organizing events such as the "Livres en Vignes" festival or the "Music & Wine" festival. It showcases local know-how and regional talent through various initiatives. Proud of its history and traditions, la maison Albert Bichot places quality and authenticity at the heart of its work. Through each vintage, she seeks to reveal the very essence of the Burgundian terroirs, while preserving the natural balance and richness of the family heritage.
