Description
Special Vatting Malt Whisky Spirits from Michel Couvreur
The Michel Couvreur story began in 1956 when Michel Couvreur, a Burgundian wine merchant from Belgium, entered the world of whisky by acquiring the Molet cellars in Bouze-lès-Beaune. These cellars offer him the ideal conditions for aging his own whiskies. Convinced that the quality of a good whisky depends to a large extent on its ageing in barrels, Michel Couvreur has distinguished itself as an exceptional independent bottler. He imports neutral alcohol from Scotland to age it in the best possible conditions. He created an international reputation and even after his death in 2013, his legacy lives on thanks to his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and the cellar master of la maison, who made it a point of honour to preserve it.
This Special Vatting Malt Whisky from Michel Couvreur a true ode to the balance and diversity of wkisky flavours. This masterpiece is made from a blend that harmonizes a mature and concentrated whisky, aged in Amontillado casks, with a younger, iodized and peaty whisky, thus offering a palette of freshness and unparalleled expression. The subtle addition of a fine and delicate third whisky achieves the perfect balance. This whisky reveals a depth and a spicy richness, revealing the notes of sherry (Amontillado and Oloroso) associated with the iodine freshness of the young saline whiskies. On the nose, it offers an intoxicating bouquet of sherry, leather, tobacco and dried flowers. On the palate, it stands out for its silky texture, power and remarkable length. The peat, perfectly controlled, sublimates the roundness and richness of the whiskies aged in Amontillado barrels. Blended Malt Special Vatting is an exceptional sensory experience for discerning whisky lovers. Discover the perfect harmony of ripeness, freshness and subtlety in every sip. A true masterpiece of the art of whisky, to be enjoyed with delight.
