The Domain Michel Couvreur, founded by a producer and wine merchant in Burgundy, is renowned for its whiskies of exceptional quality. Since the acquisition of the Molet cellars in Bouze-lès-Beaune in 1956, Michel Couvreur dedicated his career to the development of whiskies matured under perfect conditions. These, offered by the deep and humid cellars of Burgundy, create an ideal environment for the aging of whiskies. . Michel Couvreur innovated in barrel aging, considering that 90% of the quality of a whiskey comes from the barrel., which led him to select barrels of Sherry and of Porto to age its products.
Michel Couvreur also developed a unique method of assembly and maturation, by supervising each cask and taking particular care in the bottling of each bottle, which he labeled and waxed manually. After his death in 2013, his daughter and her husband took over the business, supported by the cellar master. Today, the whiskies Michel Couvreur continue to be produced with the same rigor and passion, perpetuating the personal vision of its creator.
