The Domain Michel Couvreur is one of the most renowned whisky producers in Burgundy, in France. Michel Couvreur, initially a producer and trader of wine in Burgundy, acquired in 1956 the cellars of Molet at Bouze-lès-Beaune, a region with a terroir suitable for whisky production. After learning the craft of whisky making in Scotland, , Michel Couvreur founded his own estate of whiskey in France. It is distinguished by its aging method in Sherry casks, a specificity that allows it to create whiskies of rare complexity and great aromatic richness.

The whiskies Michel Couvreur are produced in an exceptional cellar with 150 meters of galleries, carved into the heart of the Burgundian rock, providing ideal conditions for the aging of spirits. This meticulous process, from the selection of the casks to the bottling, ensures superior quality products, where each cask is individually monitored. Michel Couvreur, died in 2013, passed on her expertise to her daughter and her husband, who continue to produce these whiskies with the same passion and expertise.
