Monthelie Red 2021 Domaine Pierre Boisson

Pierre Boisson and his sister Anne gradually took over the Boisson-Vadot family estate. Both also produce wines under their own names. Located in Meursault, the Pierre Boisson estate covers 3.5 hectares. The vines are cultivated in a sustainable way, without chemical fertilizers and with ploughing of the soil. The maturation is long and with very few new barrels, the stirring is carried out gently and the wines are not filtered. Pierre Boisson has chosen to age very long in old barrels so as not to mark the wine.

Domaine Pierre Boisson's 2021 Monthelie Red is a magnificent red wine, evolving into tiled nuances over time. Grown on Bathonian gravelly limestone soils covered with red clay and marl, the vines benefit from a southern and south-east exposure, between 230 and 370 metres above sea level. Its floral bouquet blends with delicate aromas of red fruits, while its tannins, initially frank, blend harmoniously over time, offering a finish where redcurrant and tangy strawberry subtly mingle. This wine embodies all the elegance and finesse of the terroirs of Monthélie.
