The Domaine Marthe Henry is a rising star in the wine world of Burgundy, located in Meursault. Marthe Henry, granddaughter of the famous winemaker Pierre Boillot, trained in wine after an initial career as a journalist. With the education from the wine school of Beaune and the valuable advice from her winemaker friends Pierre-Henri Rougeot and Jean-Yves Devevey, she launched a high-quality micro-negotiation. She quickly built a solid reputation thanks to her minimalist winemaking methods and her respect for natural practices. In 2023, she took over part of the family vineyards to produce wines in a refined style, without added sulfur and without racking, offering an authentic expression of the Burgundy terroir.
The Bourgogne Aligoté Blanc 2021 from Domaine Marthe Henry is made from the Aligoté grape variety, emblematic of the fresh and invigorating white wines of the region. This 2021 vintage is distinguished by a marked mineral tension and a saline texture, a signature of great Aligotés from Burgundy. Vinified with a natural approach, this wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels, without racking, to preserve its delicate balance and purity. This white wine offers a palate both tense and saline, with subtle aromas of white fruits and citrus, inviting a refined tasting experience.
