The vines, averaging 50 years old and pruned in cordon de royat, benefit from a lean limestone soil and a southeast exposure, promoting optimal maturation of the Pinot Noir. This wine is crafted with care, from manual harvesting to natural winemaking.
The Santenay Rouge 1er Cru "Clos Faubard" 2021 offers complex aromas of ripe red fruits, spicy notes, and light woody touches from barrel aging (15-20% new barrels). On the palate, it is characterized by a dense and intense texture, a solid structure, and a beautiful aromatic persistence.
