Mercurey 1er Cru "Les Vasées" 2021 François Raquillet

Domaine Raquillet, with its heritage and 11 generations of winegrowers, embodies the excellence of the region. Under the direction of François and Emmanuelle Raquillet, the 11 hectares are distinguished by ma yields, a meticulous selection of barrels and a diversity of white and red wines. Jeanne's arrival marks a new era, combining tradition and sustainable viticulture, thus preserving the quality and natural balance of the vineyard.

This Mercurey 1er Cru "Les Vasées" 2021 François Raquillet is a wine made from a plot composed of thick clay soils and is the fruitiest, the most supple of the estate's 1er crus. The nose is very Pinot, the palate tasty, round with a good texture. Tasted at room temperature, we discover a rich nose of black fruits and spices with a beautiful woodiness. The palate is opulent, fleshy, with a nice freshness on the finish. Built for ageing, its optimum is around 5 years old, although it is also delicious when younger.
