Joseph Colin, son of the renowned vigneron Marc Colin, reflects the innovative spirit of his own estate. With 6.5 hectares, part of which is inherited from his family heritage, Joseph produces 19 exceptional cuvées in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. Favouring non-certified organic viticulture, with biodynamic influences such as lunar observation, he adopts a minimally interventionist winemaking, avoiding sulphur until bottling. Its crystalline and energetic wines express the Burgundian terroir with depth, underlining its commitment to artisanal quality. The estate, producing around 45,000 bottles per year, embodies the freedom of vigneron and reveals the authenticity of the Burgundian terroir with each vintage.

The 2021 Saint-Aubin Blanc "Compendium" from Domaine Joseph Colin comes from vines aged 20 to 45 years spread over an area of 79.59 ares, located in Saint-Aubin in localities such as Champ Tirant, En l'Ebaupin, Tope Bataille, Le Banc and Au bas de Jorcul, benefiting from an exposure at the top of hills. The clay-limestone soils give a unique typicity to the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed entirely. The barrels are put into barrels by gravity, followed by alcoholic fermentation in barrels with indigenous yeasts, without the addition of sulphites or stirring. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 15 to 20% of which are new, offering a complex and balanced wine with subtle aromas.
