Description
Bourgogne Rouge "Montre cul" 2022 |Wine from Domaine Chapuis & Chapuis
The Domaine Chapuis & Chapuis, founded by brothers Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis in 2009, is a true Burgundy gem. These young winemakers, from a long line of vintners, have chosen a respectful approach to the land, adopting minimal intervention viticulture and limiting the use of sulfur and oak barrels. The estate, located in Ladoix, spans 4 hectares and also sources grapes, often from organic farms. The wines produced are distinguished by their freshness and ability to elegantly reflect the Burgundy terroir.
The Bourgogne "Montre Cul" 2022 is a rare wine, coming from one of the few Climats of the regional appellation that can mention its name on the label. Located north of the Côte de Nuits, near Dijon, the Montrecul terroir is undergoing a renaissance thanks to the commitment of young winemakers like the Chapuis brothers. This Pinot Noir, grown on a steep south-facing slope at about 300 meters altitude, reveals remarkable finesse and aromatic complexity.
This Bourgogne 2022 impresses with its aromatic richness:
- On the nose, aromas of wild strawberry, peony, morello cherry, elderberry, and raspberry emerge, wrapped in subtle woodiness.
- On the palate, the wine is structured, with a beautiful freshness that highlights the purity of the Pinot Noir.
- The finish is long, with floral and fruity touches that linger pleasantly.
The Bourgogne "Montre Cul" 2022 pairs perfectly with dishes such as grilled or roasted white meats, fish in sauce or grilled, dishes with mushrooms, as well as soft cheeses like brie or camembert.
This wine will also wonderfully accompany more refined dishes like duck breast or rack of lamb.
