Description
Savennieres Blanc "Le Clos De Fremine" 2022 | Wine from Domaine Boudignon Thibaud
The Domaine Thibaud Boudignon, located in Anjou-Saumur in the Loire Valley, is one of the most respected vineyards in the region. Thibaud Boudignon, originally from Bordeaux, gained solid experience in prestigious estates such as Château Olivier in Léognan and with Philippe Charlopin in Burgundy before managing his own estate. Since 2008, he has distinguished himself through organic and biodynamic practices, without certification, with special attention to the quality of the grapes and biodiversity.
The Wine: Savennieres Blanc "Le Clos De Fremine" 2022
This wine comes from 35-year-old Chenin Blanc vines, cultivated at the site adjacent to Clos de la Hutte in Savennières. The Savennieres Blanc "Le Clos De Fremine" 2022 is fermented with indigenous yeasts and without malolactic fermentation, to preserve the wine's freshness and purity. Aging is done in 350 and 700-liter oak barrels, with 10% new wood, for aromatic complexity and a beautiful structure.
Visually, this wine has a pale yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is expressive, revealing aromas of green apple, pear, and honey, with a mineral and floral touch. On the palate, it offers great freshness, well-balanced acidity, and notes of citrus and white fruits. The finish is long and slightly salty, reflecting its exceptional terroir.
The Savennieres Blanc "Le Clos De Fremine" 2022 pairs wonderfully with delicate dishes such as seafood, grilled fish, or dishes with fresh cheeses like goat cheese. It will also accompany poultry dishes and more refined vegetable-based preparations.
