Description
Cultivation practices change depending on the questions that farmers ask themselves about the quality of their production and the protection of their soil and the environment. Respecting the soil and therefore the living beings that compose it becomes a major issue for farmers. They are thus participating in the rise of agroecology. The agroecosystem they generate in this way can, if well thought out, partly replace mechanical and technological tools. Currently, their actions in the field are limited to current knowledge. Future progress should open up new agronomic perspectives for plant production. This book provides a description of all the species commonly found in cultivated areas and their surroundings. For each species, the agronomic interests are explained. Additionally, this book presents a summary of cultivation techniques that improve the living conditions of species living in the soil. It also indicates techniques that may damage them and thus alter soil quality. Finally, it offers an original technical approach to introducing soil observation and quality assessment.
