Description
Champagne Extra-Brut "Dizy-Terres Rouges" 2015 | Wine from La Maison Jacquesson
Founded in 1798, the Maison Jacquesson is one of the oldest champagne houses, established in Dizy, near Epernay. Acquired by the Chiquet family in 1974, this house regained its former fame thanks to the efforts of brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet. With a rigorous and nature-respecting approach, Maison Jacquesson produces champagnes appreciated by the greatest connoisseurs.
The Champagne Extra-Brut "Dizy-Terres Rouges" 2015 is a rare wine, made from Pinot Noir planted in 1993 on an exceptional terroir of red brown limestone soil in Dizy. This vintage, marked by a contrasting climate, allowed for the production of perfectly ripe and balanced grapes. Vinified in vats and aged on lees without filtration or fining, this champagne was then disgorged in March 2023, revealing aromas of great complexity and a silky texture. Undosed, with 0 gr/l of added sugar, it displays a lively acidity (7.1 gr/l) with an alcohol content of 12.5% vol.
The Dizy-Terres Rouges 2015 offers a rich aromatic palette, with notes of red fruits, mineral touches, and a beautiful structure. On the palate, it is generous, ample, and very dynamic. The absence of dosage allows for the full purity of the terroir and grape variety to be revealed.
This extra-brut champagne pairs wonderfully with refined dishes such as lobster, sushi, truffles, and aged cheeses like mimolette and munster, while also accompanying sophisticated desserts such as bugnes, king cake, or saffron panna cotta.
