Thibaud Boudignon is a winemaker with a unique background, having previously been a high-level judo athlete before transitioning to viticulture. After working in prestigious Bordeaux and Burgundy vineyards, notably with Philippe Charlopin, he founded his own estate in Savennières in 2008, with the first harvest in 2009. His estate, located in the Anjou-Saumur region, has quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality chenin wines.

The Domaine Thibaud Boudignon is committed to sustainable practices, with all harvesting done by hand. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, are cultivated without the purchase of external grapes, ensuring the authenticity of the wine. Boudignon’s wines are known for their longer aging periods, which contribute to their depth and complexity.

His chenin wines are highly praised by critics for their precision, balance, and their ability to fully express the terroir. They are considered among the most exciting wines in the global wine scene today.
