The Domaine des Roches Neuves, located in Varrains, a few kilometers from Saumur, is the work of the talented winemaker Thierry Germain. Established in 1850 by the Duveau family, this historic estate took a new direction in 1991 when it was taken over by Thierry and Marie Germain. With a committed vision, the vineyard was fully converted to organic farming in the late 1990s, and then to biodynamics in the early 2000s.

Spanning 28 hectares, this fragmented vineyard consists of 61 plots, cultivating iconic grape varieties from the Loire Valley, such as Chenin for whites, and Cabernet Franc for reds. The excellence of Thierry Germain's work is recognized through cuvées of remarkable purity and refinement.

The Saumur Blanc "Clos Romans" 2021 is a rare and precious expression of the Chenin grape (100%). This wine comes from a unique terroir with a limestone subsoil, offering incomparable structure and elegance.

Visually, its clear, brilliant straw-yellow hue hints at a wine of great finesse. On the nose, fruity aromas (apple, pear), floral notes (white flowers), and a vegetal touch reveal its richness and freshness.
