The Domaine de Villaine, located in Bouzeron, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, perpetuates an ancient wine tradition. Nestled between Santenay and Mercurey, this estate benefits from an exceptional terroir shaped by the monks of Cluny since the Middle Ages. Specializing in the Aligoté grape variety, the vines on hillsides at 270-350 meters above sea level benefit from limestone soils and a warm microclimate, ideal for optimal ripening of the grapes. The Bouzeron AOC, renowned for its small surface area and controlled yields, remains a little-known treasure of Burgundy.

The Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Blanc "Les Perrières" 2021 from Domaine de Villaine is an exceptional wine cultivated since 2014 in the Climat des Frionnes, a terroir classified 1er Cru. This vineyard, located on stony soils, gives the wine a rich minerality. The grapes, harvested by hand, are pressed in whole clusters. The juice ferments in barrels, some of which are new, for aging for 12 to 18 months on lees without stirring. After resting for a year in the bottle, the wine reveals toasted and mineral notes with a beautiful aromatic tension. This fresh and salivating wine will evolve magnificently over time, sharpening its woody and fruity aromas.
