Description
Alsace Blanc "Variation" 2022 | Wine from Domaine Vincent Gross
The Domaine Vincent Gross, located in the heart of Alsace, a few kilometers from Colmar, is a family-owned winery practicing biodynamic farming. Founded by Louis Gross, a blacksmith by trade, it initially covered 2.5 hectares. Since the 1980s, Rémy Gross, succeeding his parents, and his son Vincent, now cultivate 10 hectares of vines. Their commitment to respecting traditions and the family spirit guides their work, from cultivation to the winemaking of the entire harvest.
The Alsace Blanc de macération "Variation" 2022 from Domaine Vincent Gross is an orange wine made from Sylvaner, benefiting from 18 days of skin maceration and eight months in amphora. This unique winemaking process gives the wine an oily texture and intense flavors that delight the palate.
This wine is distinguished by serious notes of candied lemon, juicy apple, as well as distinct aromas of sage and thyme. Its texture is round and complex, with an aromatic persistence that highlights the quality of the maceration. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this orange wine will appeal to lovers of wines with deep aromas and unique textures.
The Alsace Blanc de Macération "Variation" 2022 pairs perfectly with dishes based on fatty fish, spicy Asian cuisines, or even complex vegetarian dishes such as vegetable curries or squash gratins. Its versatility also makes it ideal for accompanying aged washed-rind cheeses.
