Located in Vinzelles, at the heart of the Mâconnais in the south of Burgundy, Domaine La Soufrandière is a family-owned estate taken over in 2000 by the Bret brothers, also known as the Bret Brothers. The estate was founded in 1947 by their paternal grandfather. The vines, aged between 33 and 80 years, benefit from an East-Southeast exposure on slopes composed of red clay and limestone, dating back over 180 million years. Since their takeover, the Bret Brothers have chosen environmentally friendly farming, certified organic and biodynamic since 2006. Their approach is based on biodiversity and natural rhythms, without the use of synthetic herbicides or pesticides. The result is a range of expressive and authentic wines that reveal the unique terroir of the Mâconnais.

The Bourgogne Aligoté Blanc "Aligato" 2022 comes from vines acquired in 2016, cultivated on a small plot of 0.3 hectares, located at 300 meters altitude, at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson. This wine is a true tribute to the Aligoté grape variety, often considered the second white of Burgundy, behind Chardonnay. On this exceptional clay-limestone terroir, facing East, the Aligato reveals all the freshness and liveliness of the grape variety. Vinified in demi-muids, the wine benefits from a subtle aging process, which preserves the fruity and mineral expression of the terroir while offering a round and balanced texture.

The Bourgogne Aligoté Blanc "Aligato" 2022 presents a pale yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, delicate aromas of white fruits like pear and apple blend with floral notes of white flowers and lemon. On the palate, the attack is lively and fresh, with a beautiful acidity that highlights flavors of crisp fruits and a subtle minerality. The aging in demi-muids brings a certain roundness without masking the pure expression of the grape variety.
