Description

Ratafia de Bourgogne Chardonnay - Aligoté | Jacoulot

Vincent Jacoulot, born in 1864 in Romanèche-Thorins, in the heart of Southern Burgundy, amidst the prestigious Beaujolais Crus, began his journey in 1891 by starting the distillation of Burgundy Marcs, using grapes from the vineyards of his winemaker friends. This is how the Maison Jacoulot was born. From then on, the success of the Burgundy Marcs and Fines Jacoulot propelled the brand to prominent fame throughout France. Numerous medals won in prestigious competitions attest to the meticulously crafted quality by Jacoulot in its cellars. The authentic Jacoulot, a true emblem of the house, stands as an essential brand. For over a century, Jacoulot has perpetuated a tradition of excellence and taste innovation. Since 2013, Philippe Vançon has taken on the role of owner and cellar master of Jacoulot. While preserving the founding values of the house (authenticity, quality, and taste excellence), he takes on new challenges daily to ensure the longevity of this legendary brand.

This Ratafia "Presq' Blanc" from Maison Jacoulot is a delicious beverage made during harvest by mixing 2/3 of sweet grape juice with 1/3 of Fine de Bourgogne, thus blocking fermentation at 17° and preserving its natural sugar. Its production is completely ecological as it undergoes no treatment. The house of Jacoulot uses two emblematic white grape varieties from Burgundy to produce its White Ratafia, Chardonnay, and Aligoté. With a white gold appearance, this ratafia exudes citrus notes and offers a beautiful length on the palate, full of indulgence and fullness. A true regional treasure to savor as an aperitif or very cold digestif.
