Spirits Crème de Cassis de Jacoulot
Vincent Jacoulot, born in 1864 in Romanèche-Thorins, in the heart of southern Burgundy, in the middle of the prestigious Beaujolais Crus, began his career in 1891 by embarking on the distillation of Marcs de Bourgogne, using grapes from the wine estates of his winemaker friends. This is how the House Jacoulotwas born. From then on, the success of the Marcs et Fines de Bourgogne Jacoulot propelled the brand to eminent fame throughout the France. Numerous medals won at prestigious competitions testify to the meticulously elaborated quality of Jacoulot in its cellars. The authentic Jacoulot, a true emblem of la maison, has established itself as an essential brand. For more than a century, Jacoulot has perpetuated a tradition of excellence and taste innovation. Since 2013, Philippe Vançon has assumed the role of owner and ma winery of Jacoulot. While preserving the founding values of la maison (authenticity, quality and taste excellence); He takes on new challenges every day to ensure the sustainability of this legendary brand.
This Crème de Cassis de de la maison Jacoulot is a liqueur made from blackcurrants of the "black burgundy" variety, which gives it exceptional aromatic qualities. The peculiarity of this cuvée is that Jacoulot only uses the first virgin juice from maceration, without pressing, which gives this juice the most concentrated blackcurrant juice possible to reveal an incomparable power. Crème de cassis is traditionally consumed at a rate of 3 cl per glass with the addition of a white wine from Burgundy such as an Aligoté or a Mâcon village to obtain a Kir or a Crémant to see a Champagne for a Kir Royal. You can also enjoy it neat as a digestif in an iced glass or as a topping on a sorbet. A Burgundian speciality to have absolutely in your bar.
