The Domaine Jean Claude Rateau, established in 1979, is a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy. Jean Claude Rateau, visionary and passionate, started with 2 hectares of family vines and, thanks to the trust of many owners, expanded his estate to 8 hectares. Certified organic by Ecocert for over 30 years, this estate embodies a commitment to respectful and sustainable agriculture. The estate operates 15 plots spread over 12 terroirs, vinifying each batch to extract its essence.
The Beaune Rouge "Les Beaux les Bons" 2022 is an elegant Pinot Noir, from the Beaune appellation, often underestimated but rich in quality terroirs. This cuvée combines the "Les Bons Feuvres" plots, known for its iron-rich soil, and "Les Beaux Fougets", with clayey lands. These two terroirs bring depth and richness to the wine, while preserving its finesse and freshness.
The cuvée reveals a brilliant red color. The nose is marked by aromas of ripe red fruits, accompanied by floral nuances and a touch of subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, silky, with a beautiful tannic structure and a long, elegant finish.
This Beaune Rouge pairs perfectly with a roast beef, a veal chop, or aged cheeses like Comté. Its structure also allows it to enhance dishes of roasted poultry.
