Description
Beaune 1er Cru Rouge "Les Bressandes" 2019 | Wine from Domaine Jean Claude Rateau
The Domaine Jean Claude Rateau, founded in 1979, is a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy. Jean Claude Rateau started with 2 hectares of family vines, gradually expanding his estate to 8 hectares thanks to the trust of various owners. Committed from the start to environmentally friendly viticulture, he has adopted biodynamic practices for 30 years, certified organic by Ecocert. With 15 plots on 12 terroirs, he vinifies each lot to obtain expressive wines that offer immediate pleasure as soon as they are bottled.
The Beaune 1er Cru Rouge "Les Bressandes" 2019 from Domaine Jean Claude Rateau comes from vines planted on white and gray marls. Manual harvesting and the use of indigenous yeasts guarantee exceptional authenticity. Fermented long on lees in barrels, unfiltered, and with very few sulfites, this wine reflects the long-practiced biodynamics of the estate, offering a pure and natural expression of its terroir.
