Jeanne's arrival marks a new era, combining tradition and sustainable viticulture, thus preserving the quality and natural balance of the vineyard.

The Mercurey 1er Cru "Les Veleys" 2021 by François Raquillet is a red wine from the Mercurey appellation, made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. Coming from a plot of 0.80 hectares facing east, it benefits from a marl soil with little limestone and an average age of the vines of 65 years. Cultivation practices include cordon de Royat pruning and mechanical tillage with several annual ploughings, as well as disbudding and leaf thinning to promote the health of the grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted in the cellar. Vinification includes cold pre-fermentation maceration, natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and ageing in barrels (30% new) for 12 months, followed by 6 months in stainless steel vats to refine the tannins. To be decanted in the first years, this wine for laying down offers power and solidity balanced by silky tannins, with a mineral finish bringing freshness. It can age for 5 to 10 years and can be enjoyed at a temperature of 18°C.
