The Domaine Petit-Roy, founded in 2017 by Seiichi Wang in Chorey-les-Beaune, embodies a new generation of passionate and committed winemakers. Originally from China, Seiichi trained with renowned figures in Burgundy, including Armand Rousseau, Simon Bize, and Anne-Claude Leflaive. Armed with this experience, he established his micro-estate where he cultivates 2.10 hectares of vines with remarkable precision, following biodynamic principles. Although not certified, the estate stands out for its natural and artisanal approach, reflecting the winemaker's deep commitment to his terroir.
The VDF White "Altesse" 2021 is a unique and daring cuvée, showcasing all the talent and sensitivity of Seiichi Wang. Carefully crafted, this natural white wine comes from the Altesse grape variety, cultivated with absolute respect for the environment and the fruit. The vinification, conducted with indigenous yeasts, preserves the purest expression of the grape variety and the terroir.
The pale golden color is bright and clear. On the nose, this wine reveals a delicate and complex aromatic palette, blending notes of white flowers, fresh citrus, and a subtle hint of honey. On the palate, the attack is lively and fresh, followed by a beautiful roundness and balanced acidity. The long and elegant finish leaves a persistent mineral impression.
