The Domaine de Villaine, located in Bouzeron, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, perpetuates an ancient wine tradition. Nestled between Santenay and Mercurey, this estate benefits from an exceptional terroir shaped by the monks of Cluny since the Middle Ages. Specializing in the Aligoté grape variety, the vines on hillsides at 270-350 meters above sea level benefit from limestone soils and a warm microclimate, ideal for optimal ripening of the grapes. The Bouzeron AOC, renowned for its small surface area and controlled yields, remains a little-known treasure of Burgundy.

The Rully 1er Cru Blanc 2021 from the Domaine de Villaine comes from the Ronde vintage, a blend of six Premiers Crus Blancs from Rully. This wine presents a dynamic and persistent energy on the nose, with freshness accompanied by a slight reduction at the opening. On the palate, each terroir expresses itself distinctly: the freshness of the limestone of Margotés, the finesse of Grésigny, the muscat sensation of Montpalais, the elegance of Cloux, the fruity and salivating youth of Raclots and the rich maturity of Rabourcé.
