White Wine Saint-Véran "La Bonnode" Cuvée Ovoïde ZEN 2021 Domaine la Soufrandière

Domaine La Soufrandière is located in Vinzelles, in the south of Burgundy in the Mâconnais, founded by the paternal grandfather in 1947. All the vines are between 33 and 80 years old and are located, east, south-east, in the middle and top of the hillside, made of very red clay and limestone known as "entroques", dating back more than 180 million years. The choice of soil life and natural rhythms: The "Bret Brothers" have chosen Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture since taking over the estate in 2000. This life-friendly agriculture, which does not use any herbicides or synthetic pesticides, seems to them to be the way to produce balanced, vibrant wines that reveal their terroir. The Domaine has been certified organic and biodynamic since 2006 (official conversion in 2003).

This Saint-Véran "La Bonnode" Cuvée Ovoïde Zen 2021 from Domaine La Soufrandière is an atypical and unique wine. Vinified and aged in concrete egg on lees for 12 months and then 6 months in stainless steel vats, this wine is the result of a very low-intervention approach. The team's choice to let the wine express itself without excessive sulphur or handling. Unfiltered, the aromatics of this wine offer us a vision of Chardonnay full of vibration and energy. A pure, airy and wildly enjoyable juice, with white flowers, nuts and a refreshing oxidative patina. This "Zen" version of this cuvée, vinified, without sulphur until bottling, offers more open wines, with a different vibration, a touch of magic.
