Marc Blanc D'Aligoté | Distillerie Magneret
Marc is obtained from grape skins after pressing, which, once distilled, give rise to an intense and aromatic eau-de-vie. Traditionally aged in barrels, marcs develop a woody complexity, but at the Distillerie Magneret, the choice was made to preserve all the purity of the fruit by opting for non-wood aging in demijohns.
From the 2022 harvest of Domaine Nicolas Raspiller, this Marc Blanc d'Aligoté is the result of skin maceration in orange wine before being distilled in January 2023. After a year and a half of aging outdoors, it is bottled in July 2024, offering an eau-de-vie of exceptional finesse, produced in extremely limited quantities.
This Marc Blanc d'Aligoté displays a crystalline and brilliant robe, reflecting its purity and elegance.
The nose reveals a beautiful aromatic intensity, marked by notes of candied citrus, orange and lemon zest, combined with floral and spicy nuances. A mineral and slightly iodized touch brings a unique depth.
On the palate, the attack is lively and expressive, offering a fluid and silky texture. The flavors of dried fruits, bitter almond, and fresh grape blend into an exceptional length, carried by a clean and crystalline finish, revealing all the subtlety of Aligoté.
