Description

SAB'S Le Marc Spirits Alambic Bourguignon

Guardian of a centuries-old tradition, the Alambic Bourguignon is located in Beaune, in the heart of wine-growing Burgundy and seeks to preserve the ancestral art of distillation. Once one boiler per village, today there are only a handful of craftsmen carrying on this heritage. The Alambic Bourguignon processes grape marcs and wine lees from the most prestigious terroirs of the region and are among the last to produce the AOC Marc de Bourgogne and Fine de Bourgogne. They also offer a very nice range of Gin and Eaux-de-vie from different horizons.

This Marc SAB'S de l'Alambic Bourguignon is a grape brandy composed of 100% Burgundian Pinot Noir, then aged for 7 years in small Burgundy barrels and finished 6 months in Cognac barrels before being bottled in bottles topped with orange wax. On tasting, we discover a rich and dense nose, the power of notes of fruit and grape juice accompanied by fresh wood and sap on the finish. The crisp, ample and woody taste at the beginning gives way to a nice length on a vanilla and liquorice finish full of greed.
