The Dureuil-Janthial estate is a key player in the Côte Chalonnaise, renowned for the finesse and precision of its wines. Located in Rully, it spans 20 hectares, primarily in the Rully and Mercurey appellations, with parcels also in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The estate practices demanding viticulture that respects the environment, with 100% manual harvesting, soil work in accordance with the lunar calendar, and a constant search for optimal maturity.

🍷 Wine Presentation

The Rully Village Rouge 2022 is a red wine from three emblematic parcels: Le Meix Cadot, En Rosey, and Montagne de Remenot, planted between 1974 and 1980. These terroirs, predominantly limestone, clay, and clay-limestone, all facing east, offer balanced maturity and beautiful aromatic complexity.

The Pinot Noir grape variety, emblematic of Burgundy, is expressed here in a refined and authentic version. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted on two tables (vibrating and belt), then vinified in a wooden tronconic vat after a cold maceration. Fermentation is followed by 12 months of aging in oak barrels (33% new) and then 6 months in stainless steel tanks, with bottling according to the lunar calendar.

👃 Tasting Notes

The color is dark and shiny, with deep ruby reflections. The nose reveals aromas of ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry, redcurrant), mingled with very elegant spicy and woody notes. On the palate, the wine is ample, structured, and silky, with melted tannins and a beautiful mineral freshness. The finish is persistent, marked by a salivating note and a touch of floral.
