Chorey-Lès-Beaune Red 2023 | Wine from Domaine Chapuis & Chapuis
The Domaine Chapuis & Chapuis is the creation of brothers Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis, heirs to a deeply rooted family tradition in Burgundy winemaking. Founded in 2009 in Pommard, the estate has distinguished itself with its minimalist and environmentally respectful approach. Now located in Ladoix, it spans 4 hectares of vineyards and offers wines often made from organically grown grapes. The use of indigenous yeasts and the limitation of sulfur and oak make it a pioneering estate in natural winemaking.
The Chorey-Lès-Beaune Red 2023 stands out for its finesse and its ability to express the terroir of the Côte de Beaune. This Pinot Noir, harvested manually, benefits from the meticulous attention of Romain Chapuis, who favors aging in oak barrels to bring structure and roundness.
The wine's color is a bright red with garnet reflections. The nose reveals intense aromas of cherries and raspberries, enhanced by floral touches of peony and subtle nuances of spices. On the palate, the attack is smooth, giving way to well-present but elegantly wrapped tannins. The balance between acidity and tannic structure gives the wine a beautiful length and a promising aging potential.
This Chorey-Lès-Beaune Red 2023 pairs perfectly with grilled or roasted red meats, poultry in sauce, soft and aged cheeses, as well as vegetarian dishes based on mushrooms or roasted vegetables.
This wine is ideal for discovering the richness of the Burgundian terroir, showcasing the tradition and passion of the Chapuis brothers.
