Domaine Trapet, anchored in the family tradition for five generations, is today a pillar of Burgundy viticulture under the direction of Jean-Louis Trapet since 1995. Married to Alsatian winemaker Andrée Grayer, Jean-Louis saw their estate expand in 2002 when Andrée inherited 2 hectares of vines in Riquewihr, Alsace. Together, they work with dedication and passion, often travelling long distances to care for their vines with natural preparations, thus ensuring the irreproachable quality of their wines.

The 2021 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru Rouge from Domaine Trapet Père et Fils is an emblematic wine of Gevrey-Chambertin, carrying a rich history of devotion and tradition. Formerly known as Grande Chapelle or Haute Chapelle, this vineyard is one of the smallest grands crus in the region, but it stands out for its exceptional complexity and finesse. Located near the Clos de Bèze, the site housed a small oratory dedicated to Notre-Dame, built in 1155 and fallen into disuse in the fourteenth century. The wine offers refined aromas and remarkable depth, embodying the excellence of the Burgundy terroir.
