Marange Red 2022 | Wine from Domaine Lucien Muzard & Fils

Discover the Maranges cuvée, a Pinot Noir in the vineyard since 1963. Cultivated with care, the 54-acre plot is pruned in cordon de royat, disbudded, aerated and defoliated by hand. At the tasting, savour its nose of black fruit and its smoky touch, accompanied by a greedy palate with supple tannins, offering almost immediate pleasure. Special 2019 vintage, this wine has an alcohol content of 13% vol. and an ageing potential of 3 to 5 years. Vinified with indigenous yeasts and part of the whole harvest, it is lightly punched during vatting. After 15 to 20 days, the ageing in Burgundian pieces, 15 to 20% of which are new, gives it all its finesse. Nestled at the bottom of the hill, in a cold area and on clay soils, this plot is located between Saône-et-Loire and Côte-d'Or.
