Carole and Julien Altaber took over Domaine Derain in 2016 (Dominique Derain's loyal right-hand men since 2002), brilliantly maintaining the "Derain touch". This signature is above all a conviction that wine passes through the terroirs and the respect of them through biodynamics for fresh, gourmet and digestible juices. All with little or no sulphur. Julien has also put a lot of thought into the ageing process, extending it to bring even more balance and complexity to the wines.

The Derain magic is still present with this Bourgogne Les Riaux 2021, a Pinot-Noir in tension and sapidity with a lot of finesse and elegance that you will happily marry with roast poultry or a soft leg cheese and bloomy rind such as brie, camembert, Brillat Savarin...
