Red Wine - Beaune "Clos de l'Ermitage" 2018 Domaine Albert Bichot
LA MAISON Albert Bichot is a wine merchant specialising in Burgundy wines for more than 180 years. Located in Beaune, the region's wine-growing centre, la maison Albert Bichot operates its own vineyards and produces its own vintages. Albert Bichot currently includes 14 properties and 5 estates, representing more than 250 hectares of vines. It produces more than 400 different wines from Burgundy and Beaujolais, which are exported to more than 50 countries around the world.
This Beaune "Clos de l'Ermitage" 2018 comes from a plot located at altitude on the Montagne St-Désiré. The Pinot Noir, on clay-limestone soils on hard limestone from the Oxfordian, will express all its finesse, in a taut register combined with a characteristic minerality. The large presence of Meurgers (piles of stones "built" by man) attests to this shallow and particularly rocky soil.
The nose of this Beaune "Clos de l'Ermitage" reveals toasted, smoky scents, aromas of red fruits very Pinot Noir with some touches of leather and undergrowth. Fine and elegant, the tannins are dense and fine, in a mouth of very frank structure. Beautiful length dominated by the mineral side of the terroir. It will go well with well-cooked red meats, game with a fine taste and cheeses that are not very spicy and delicate.
Capacity: 0.75 L
