Respect for men and love for the land create the greatest wines and the most beautiful emotions. To illustrate this little-known truth, Raisin, the natural wine app, is partnering with the team behind Entre Les Vignes to create a unique work. ANOTHER GUIDE? WE'RE TIRED OF RANKINGS! Guillaume Laroche, the author of Entre Les Vignes, came up with the idea of creating a book that highlights 100 great natural wines of emotion. These wines will allow everyone to build their own references in discovering natural wine. To compare his selection with that of an experienced partner, he then contacted the Raisin team, which maps natural winemakers around the world, and found in Cédric Blatrie, a partner and trained sommelier, the perfect partner for this exercise. WHAT IS A GREAT NATURAL WINE OF EMOTION? "It's a wine full of energy, tension, that makes us travel, vibrate, loosens the tongue, and opens minds - it's a wine of an artist, which can also destabilize us, disrupt our references, shake us, make us shiver, and at times, bring a tear to our eyes. It's a wine that we don't forget," adds Harry Annoni, artistic director and photographer on the project. The simplest definition is from Cédric Blatrie: "In contrast to a wine expert, who thinks a wine is perfect because there's nothing more to add, we believe that a wine of emotion is a wine to which nothing more can be taken away." STORIES, ANECDOTES, AND VARIATIONS For each of the 100 wines presented, we offer you the story of the cuvée, an anecdote, the winemaker's point of view, and all this in a varied way since we have 3 types of sheets: A classic 2-page format A long format of 4 to 6 pages A large format of over 10 pages, in the form of a major interview 15 PERSONALITIES To avoid staying within the same circle, 15 personalities from the world of wine and gastronomy have been invited to enrich the selection of the 100 wines with their own emotional wines. Among them are Pascaline Lepeltier (Best Sommelier of France 2018), Ava Mees List (sommelier at Noma), François Morel (author, wine merchant, and wine historian), and Edouard "The Winestache" Thorens (influencer and wine merchant in Switzerland).
