Description
The law of vine and wine is a complex set of rules governing the production and marketing of wine. This book first presents the legal framework for the organization of the wine market: national and international institutions, as well as professional organizations and the professionals themselves. It then deals with the definition of wine and the qualitative classification of wines, including designations of origin and geographical indications, as well as the regulatory tools for vine potential.
In a second part, the book focuses on market operations such as wine identification, with the issue of wine branding, labeling and traditional mentions. It also addresses wine sales which have specificities, wine advertising, securities and enforcement procedures related to it, and finally the circulation of wine and the frauds it may be subject to. The first edition of this book was honored with the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) award. This edition is intended for legal professionals and professionals in the wine industry, as well as a wider audience including students of specialized master's programs and anyone with intellectual curiosity about the law of vine and wine.
