Description
Extra-Brut Champagne "747" | Wine from Maison Jacquesson
Founded in 1798 in Châlons-sur-Marne, Maison Jacquesson is now a key reference in the world of champagne. Under the direction of the brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, this family-owned estate located in Dizy, near Épernay, has regained its former glory. Recognized for the exceptional quality of its cuvées, Jacquesson embodies Champagne excellence and authenticity. Its vineyards, located on the prestigious terroirs of Champagne, produce champagnes of rare elegance.
The "747" cuvée is an Extra-Brut champagne from an exceptional 2019 harvest, mainly from the vineyards of Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers (75%) as well as Avize and Oiry (25%). Aged in large oak casks on lees, without filtration or fining, this champagne reveals subtle notes and great finesse. It rivals the house's greatest vintages such as 2012 and 2008.
The Champagne "747" captivates with its pale gold color and fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, it unfolds complex aromas of dried fruits, green apple, with slightly toasted nuances. On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively, followed by a beautiful fullness. The silky texture and perfect balance between acidity and roundness make it a champagne of great elegance, with mineral notes and slightly brioche-like finish.
This champagne pairs wonderfully with sophisticated dishes such as lobster, sushi, or matured cheeses like mimolette or munster. In terms of desserts, it ideally complements dry biscuits, a galette des rois, or a Baked Alaska. For the adventurous, try it with a peach soup with Moscato d'Asti or a saffron panna cotta.
