Description
Bandol Rouge 2020 | Wine from Château de Pibarnon
The Château de Pibarnon is a true gem of the Bandol appellation. Since 1978, the de Saint-Victor family, now represented by Éric, has been cultivating the art of winemaking in harmony with nature. Certified organic since 2019, the estate spans 52 hectares of terraced vineyards, at an altitude of 300 meters, offering an ideal southeast exposure. These unique conditions, combined with ancestral know-how, make Château de Pibarnon an essential reference for the great wines of Bandol.
The Bandol Rouge 2020 from Château de Pibarnon is a winemaking masterpiece. With its vibrant crimson color, it captivates at first glance. Its intense nose reveals refined aromas of black fruits, lilac, soft caramel, and anise candy. On the palate, the fresh attack and silky texture cleverly conceal a solid tannic structure. Its balsamic finish, marked by notes of pine resin and cedar, attests to its noble origins and its exceptional aging potential.
On the palate, the Bandol Rouge 2020 is a model of balance. It combines a vibrant freshness, a generous fullness, and a silky texture. Still young, it hints at its boldness and aging potential. The finish, subtly licorice-flavored, evokes the typicity of its terroir and highlights its harmonious development.
The Bandol Rouge 2020 pairs perfectly with characterful cuisine. Try it with a roast leg of lamb with Provençal herbs, a wild boar stew, or a beef fillet with truffle sauce. For cheese lovers, it enhances an aged Comté or a Bleu d’Auvergne.
