Description
Marange red"Vieilles Vignes" 2022 | Wine from Domaine Bachey-Legros
Domaine Bachey-Legros, cultivated for six generations, spans 19 hectares. It is distinguished by its old vines planted between 1935 and 1955. Located on a historic street in Santenay-le-Haut, at the foot of the Trois Croix mountain, this estate benefits from an exceptional setting facing a magnificent amphitheater, contributing to the richness and quality of its wines.
The Maranges red Vieilles Vignes 2022 from Domaine Bachey-Legros is an exceptional wine made from hand-picked grapes. The winemaking process includes a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 3 days, followed by an 11-day alcoholic fermentation, and then a 3-day post-fermentation maceration. Aging is done in oak barrels for 14 months, including 12 months on lees without racking and 2 months in a vat, with 20% new oak barrels. This rigorous process guarantees a high-quality wine, rich in aromas and complexity.
