Description
Beaujolais-Lantignié Red Cuvée "Glou des Bret Zen" 2022 | Bret Brothers Wine
Bret Brothers is the micro- vigneron merchant created by the owners of Domaine La Soufrandière in August 2001 with the aim of producing very great terroir wines, mainly from the Mâconnais and Beaujolais regions.
But being a merchant implies rigorous specifications:
• the selection of micro-plots of old vines worked by passionate winegrowers, on very specific terroirs;
• the purchase of vine grapes exclusively (100% of the grapes purchased are certified organic or in conversion);
• the manual harvesting of ripe grapes carried out by our team;
• 100% indigenous yeast vinification;
• Maturation and bottling by us;
all these steps are carried out with the same attention, the same passion as for the grapes from their Domaine La Soufrandière.
The village of Lantignié is next to the Régnié cru. Our "Glou" is a "mountain" Beaujolais-Villages, whose soils are sometimes on pink granite, sometimes on blue sandstone. Vinified 100% in whole bunches, our Lantignié on pink granite, became Glou des Bret in 2019. It is vinified according to our "Zen" method. Health!!
The "Zen" version of the cuvées are vinified without sulphur until before bottling. The "Zen" are thus more open, presenting a different vibration, a bit magical.
The Beaujolais-Lantignié Glou des Bret Zen 2022 is distinguished by its bright ruby red colour. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of fresh red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by light spicy notes. On the palate, this wine offers a beautiful freshness with silky tannins and a greedy finish. It is an easy-drinking wine, perfect for relaxing moments with friends or family.
Food and Wine Pairings:
This Beaujolais-Lantignié goes perfectly with light and convivial dishes such as:
- Cold cuts
- Mild cheeses
- Mixed salads
- Grilled white meats
- Savoury pies
Service Tips:
To fully appreciate this wine, we recommend that you serve it slightly chilled, at a temperature of 14-16°C. It can be tasted now or kept for 2 to 3 years to develop more complexity.
