Description
Vigneti Delle Dolomiti DOC "Teroldego" 2018 from Domaine Foradori
The Domaine Foradori is a leading figure in Italian organic viticulture. Founded in 1901, this 26-hectare institution has always retained its family spirit, highlighting a superb wine region: South Tyrol. A mountainous region in the far north of Italy that is nicknamed South Tyrol.
A very talented winemaker has placed the estate at the top: Elisabetta Foradori. At the head of the estate since the 80s, she has been totally committed to bringing native grape varieties such as terodelgo up to date. To better enhance them, Elisabetta introduced biodynamics throughout the vineyard in the 90s. In the cellar, the ma word is patience, gentleness and very little intervention. As a result, the wines have very little sulphur and amphorae are aged. The wines are lively and vibrant, each cuvée has its own identity. Unique flavors and textures make Foradori a marvel of the Italian wine landscape.
This 2018 Teroldego is beautiful at all levels, first of all on a magnificent ruby color. The nose then opens with expressive and well-defined notes of red, ripe and blackcurrant cherries whose perfect ripeness is felt. The palate is smooth with fine aromas of red fruits, spices and a subtle hint of mint that make this Terodelgo a wine of great freshness.
A juice of great pleasure and incomparable finesse for the region!
