Description
Red Wine Moulin-à-Vent Vieilles Vignes 2015 Domaine Louis Boillot
The Domaine Louis Boillot is a family-run estate with a rich history in the wine world, rooted in Volnay, Burgundy. Coming from a lineage of winemakers, Louis Boillot worked with his father and brother at Domaine Lucien Boillot before founding his own estate in 2003 in Chambolle-Musigny, where he works alongside his wife, Ghislaine Barthod. In 2013, Louis made a bold move by acquiring vineyards in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation, in Beaujolais. Since 2019, his son Clément has gradually been taking over, bringing a fresh perspective with wines offering a purity of fruit and better-integrated tannins, while respecting the terroir. The wines from the estate are aged in oak barrels for 15 to 18 months, without clarification or filtration.
