Description
Cartagène Rosé 2014 | Wine from Domaine Le Conte Des Floris
The Domaine Le Conte Des Floris, established in 2000, is a small family-owned vineyard of about 7 hectares nestled in the heart of the Coteaux du Languedoc. Located between the villages of Pézenas, Caux, and Gabian, the estate passionately cultivates vines selected to fully express the Languedoc terroir. The winery, located in the heart of Pézenas, is a true gem where the wines are carefully vinified and matured. Certified organic by Ecocert and biodynamic by Demeter since 2017, the estate produces authentic wines that respect nature.
The Cartagène Rosé 2014 is a naturally sweet wine, made according to an ancient traditional method. Made from Carignan blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Grenache noir grape varieties, this unique wine is vinified with a cold settling process, followed by mutage at 16% with alcohol aged in barrels for 2 years. Its 5-year maturation in unfilled barrels brings complexity, finesse, and a perfectly balanced sweetness.
The rosy color with copper highlights reveals a subtle elegance. The nose offers aromas of dried fruits, roasted almonds, and candied figs, mixed with delicate hints of sweet spices. On the palate, the texture is creamy with a controlled sweetness, balanced by a fine acidity that brings freshness and length.
The Cartagène Rosé 2014 pairs ideally with fruity desserts such as fig tart, cherry clafoutis, or a fresh fruit salad. It also wonderfully accompanies blue cheeses like Roquefort or Fourme d’Ambert. As an aperitif, enjoy it on its own to appreciate its full complexity and nuances.
