Jean Rijckaert began his activity as a wine producer in 1990 in the Mâconnais, by co-founding a small wine merchant in Sologny, where he refined his practices and sharpened his sensitivity as a winemaker. In 1998, he created his own eponymous estate and acquired 4 ha of vines in Maconnais (mainly in the Viré-Clessé appellation). At the same time, convinced of the qualities of the terroirs of this region, which he regularly surveyed, he settled in Arbois, the capital of Jura wines, with 5 hectares of vines. Visionary
2 vineyards, 2 cellars in Davayé in Burgundy and Villette-les-Arbois in the Jura for the same work philosophy. The range is completed by the vinification of grapes purchased "on vines" among which the wines of Chablis and Côte d'Or are worthy representatives. They will be harvested and the juices shaped entirely within the estate, with the same precision and care as the grapes from our own vines.
