Description
Bouzeron Blanc 2021 | Domaine de Villaine
The Domaine de Villaine is located in Bouzeron, south of Beaune, in the wine region of Burgundy. Since 1986, the estate has been certified in organic farming, excluding the use of pesticides and herbicides to preserve the natural balance of the terroir. The vineyards are situated on hillsides exposed between 270 and 350 meters of altitude, benefiting from limestone and lean soils, ideal for controlling yields and achieving perfect grape ripening. The Domaine de Villaine has been a pioneer in the region, bringing meticulous care to each stage of winemaking.
The Bouzeron 2021 from Domaine de Villaine is a white wine produced from the Aligoté grape variety. Since 1973, the estate has selected "golden" varieties of Aligoté, originating from the old vines of Bouzeron, known for offering lower yields and more aromatic wines. This wine is characterized by its freshness, vibrancy, and a unique roundness that reflects the influence of its terroir.
-
Nose: The bouquet opens with aromas of ripe fruits, accompanied by delicate notes of citrus and white flowers. There are also mineral nuances, with a hint of petrichor, that characteristic smell of rain on stones.
-
Palate: On the palate, the balance between the roundness of the fruit and the freshness of the citrus is perfectly mastered. Subtle notes of white flowers blend with the minerality of the terroir, offering an elegant and refined texture.
This Bouzeron 2021 is ideally enjoyed at a temperature of 12°C. When young, it offers a lovely freshness and well-presented fruit aromas. With age, it gains in richness and depth, becoming a complex wine that can be kept for up to ten years. It pairs wonderfully with seafood, grilled fish, as well as cheeses like goat cheese, Beaufort, Cantal, or Parmesan.
