Description
Spirits Liqueur "Raspail" from the Distillerie Mazy
Located on the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne, the Distillerie Mazy produces high quality Burgundy Liqueurs, Macs & Fines and Eaux-de-vie. Distillation is carried out using artisanal methods where quality takes precedence over quantity.
The Distillerie Mazy's "Raspail" liqueur is named after François-Vincent Raspail, a 19th-century French physician, chemist, and politician famous for his contributions to organic chemistry and his commitment to democracy and social medicine. It is made from the maceration of plants and spices of fine wine obtained by double distillation. Sen is followed by a third distillation, then a dilution with caramel (about 150g per litre), then finally a "solera" ageing in oak barrels. We discover a liqueur with an amber and luminous appearance, with a golden colour, on the nose we discover the smells of spices and dried flowers. On the palate a smooth and full-bodied taste, with a frank, evolving attack and a persistent finish. This liqueur will be the ideal accompaniment for your repas endings, during coffee or dessert such as vanilla ice cream or tropézienne.
