Description

Spirits Ratafia "Presq' Blanc" from Jacoulot

Vincent Jacoulot, born in 1864 in Romanèche-Thorins, in the heart of Southern Burgundy, amidst the prestigious Crus of Beaujolais, began his journey in 1891 by starting the distillation of Marc de Bourgogne, using grapes from the vineyards of his winemaker friends. This is how the Maison Jacoulot was born. From then on, the success of Marc and Fines de Bourgogne Jacoulot propelled the brand to eminent fame throughout France. Numerous medals won at prestigious competitions testify to the meticulous quality crafted by Jacoulot in its cellars. The authentic Jacoulot, true emblem of the house, establishes itself as an essential brand. For over a century, Jacoulot has perpetuated a tradition of excellence and gustatory innovation. Since 2013, Philippe Vançon has assumed the role of owner and cellar master of Jacoulot. While preserving the founding values of the house (authenticity, quality, and gustatory excellence), he takes on new challenges daily to ensure the longevity of this legendary brand.

This Ratafia "Presq' Blanc" from Maison Jacoulot is a delicious beverage made during the harvest by mixing 2/3 sweet grape juice with 1/3 Fine de Bourgogne, thus halting fermentation at 17° to preserve its natural sugar. Its production is entirely ecological as it undergoes no treatment. Maison Jacoulot uses two iconic white grape varieties of Burgundy to make its Ratafia Blanc: Chardonnay and Aligoté. With a white gold appearance, this ratafia releases citrus notes and has a beautiful, indulgent, and full-bodied length on the palate. A true regional treasure to savor as an aperitif or very chilled digestif.
