Description

SAB'S Spirits Pinot Gin de l'Alambic Bourguignon

Guardian of a centuries-old tradition, the Alambic Bourguignon is located in Beaune, in the heart of wine-growing Burgundy and seeks to preserve the ancestral art of distillation. Once one boiler per village, today there are only a handful of craftsmen carrying on this heritage. The Alambic Bourguignon processes grape marcs and wine lees from the most prestigious terroirs of the region and are among the last to produce the AOC Marc de Bourgogne and Fine de Bourgogne. They also offer a very nice range of Gin and Eaux-de-vie from different horizons.

This SABS Pinot Gin from the Alambic Bourguignon is an alcohol obtained by macerating juniper berries and 15 other aromatic plants in grain alcohol from the soils of France, accompanied by maceration of fresh marcs of Pinot Noir grapes from Burgundy. After 3 months of rest, the result is bottled in bottles adorned with a pink wax. The few days of infusion of the grapes in this gin give it a real winegrower's signature as well as a characteristic colour of the great red wines of Burgundy. At the tasting, we discover notes of red fruits that mix with juniper and 15 other herbs and offer a real wine structure that makes this gin terribly greedy in Gin and Tonic.
