SAB'S Marc "Finish Mezcal Cask" Spirits from the Alambic Bourguignon

Guardian of a centuries-old tradition, the Alambic Bourguignon is located in Beaune, in the heart of wine-growing Burgundy and seeks to preserve the ancestral art of distillation. Once one boiler per village, today there are only a handful of craftsmen carrying on this heritage. The Alambic Bourguignon processes grape marcs and wine lees from the most prestigious terroirs of the region and are among the last to produce the AOC Marc de Bourgogne and Fine de Bourgogne. They also offer a very nice range of Gin and Eaux-de-vie from different horizons.

This Marc "Finish Mezcal Cask" SABS from the Alambic Bourguignon is a grape brandy sourced from Pinot-Noir and Chardonnay Bourguignons then aged for 8 years in small Burgundian oak barrels ex-Chardonnay, then sublimated by a finish in Mezcal barrels before being bottled in a bottle adorned with a black wax. This finish brings a deliciously complex nose of nuts and grapes, accompanied by a beautiful smoky typical of Mezcal. We discover a rich palate with a hint of olive and macadam. A touch of fleur de sel then gives way to a long finish on smoky spices and a fresh and peppery touch.
