Description
When the oenologist Benjamin Cooker and his assistant Virgile Lanssien arrive on the rocky lands of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the reception they receive is as cutting and icy as a bad gust of mistral. The expertise mission that awaits them is extremely delicate. They must navigate tactfully between the three Castelnau sisters who, failing to get along, want to sell Château Duèze to the highest bidder. Will the family ties that bind Anne-Lise, Catherine, and Sixtine prevail over covetousness, old grudges, and ordinary jealousies? While the eldest faces death with dignity, the youngest drifts further from her roots, and the youngest desperately clings to her land. Against their will, Benjamin and Virgile are trapped in a family drama where the vineyard is held hostage in the most violent way. Many seem to wish to add a papal domain to their heritage, just as in the past indulgences were bought to secure a place in paradise.
